St. Patrick’s Day 5K – Run for the Gold

With over 400 runners and walkers participating, the event was a tremendous success and a wonderful display of festive community spirit, raising over $17,000 in support of the Melrose Knights of Columbus.
We are especially grateful to The Robinson Funeral Home for their sponsoring of the event and their partnership, to the Melrose Police Department for their support and detail officers, to the Melrose Department of Public Works for their assistance, and to Pine Banks Park for the use of their facilities. We thank the many volunteers who generously gave their time to make the event possible, and extend our sincere appreciation to Stephanie Nelson, Executive Director of the Melrose Chamber of Commerce for her tremendous support. We would like to recognize our sponsors and supporters, including the Bill Butler Group at Leading Edge, Chris Cinella of Edward Jones, Commonwealth Pipe and Drum, Julie Nolan Comedy, Marathon Sports, Melrose Boot Camp, Melrose Glass Co., the Melrose Running Club, the O’Shea Chaplin Academy of Irish Dance, Tony Colella Landscaping, and Whole Foods.
It was truly a special day, and we are proud to have been part of such a meaningful community event. We look forward to continuing this tradition in the years ahead.

Hometown Heroes Luncheon

Each year, since 2021, the Melrose Knights of Columbus Hall is honored to host the Hometown Heroes celebration—a heartfelt tribute to the veterans and first responders who serve our community with courage, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication. With the help of the Melrose Chamber of Commerce and the Women’s Auxiliary, this free program is our way of saying thank you, with a warm lunch prepared and served by the Knights, and uplifting entertainment that brings joy and connection to all who attend. It’s more than a meal—it’s a moment of fellowship, reflection, and shared gratitude, where neighbors gather to honor those who protect and serve. In the spirit of Christian charity and brotherhood, we’re proud to open our doors and our hearts to the heroes among us.
Home for the Holidays
There’s no better way to wrap yourself in the warmth of the season than joining the Melrose Knights of Columbus for one of the most beloved moments of Home for the Holidays! As the twinkling lights along Main Street come to life, our doors swing open to welcome families and friends into a festive haven filled with laughter, music, and the magic of Santa Claus himself. Rumor has it he traded his sleigh for a fire engine just to make a dramatic entrance—and yes, he still manages to keep his beard perfectly fluffed. From cozy cups of hot cocoa to joyful holiday tunes and cherished photo ops with the big man in red, this event is a heartwarming tradition that brings our community together in celebration. We’re proud to sponsor this joyful gathering and help make Melrose shine a little brighter each December.

Host site for Summer Stroll, Melrose Porchfest, Victorian Fair.

Throughout the year, the Melrose Knights of Columbus Hall joyfully opens its doors to the heartbeat of our city’s most cherished celebrations. Whether it’s the breezy charm of the Summer Stroll, the nostalgic joy of the Victorian Fair in September, or the toe-tapping magic of Porchfest, our downtown hall becomes more than just a venue—it becomes a place of gathering, gratitude, and grace. As Main Street fills with laughter and local pride, we’re honored to offer a space where neighbors connect, families celebrate, and the spirit of Christian fellowship quietly shines through in every shared meal, every song, and every smile. Sometimes we serve refreshments, music or perhaps just a booth to meet our neighbors. These events aren’t just dates on a calendar—they’re living expressions of community, kindness, and the joy of being together. We’re blessed to be part of it all, right in the heart of Melrose.
